Roanne Monte
began her singing career when she was just thirteen
when she won a scholarship at the Sydney Conservatorium
of Music after beating hundreds in the state-wide
talent competition Let Them Shine.
Roanne went on to play the role of ‘Tuptim’
in the Australian production of The King &
I with British actress Hayley Mills (Pollyanna,
Parent Trap - Disney). Shortly after, she caught
the eye of Cameron Mackintosh, landing the lead
role of ‘Kim’ in the West End production
of Miss Saigon, working with acclaimed director
Nick Hytner (The Crucible, Madness of King George)
- And this was all before her eighteenth birthday!
M&M have worked with Roanne during her career
to coordinate concerts and appearances, event
management, marketing, photo shoots and media
relations. Roanne is currently based in New York
and is about to launch her debut album, which
is set to dominate the US and Australian charts
in 2008.
